Motor Data Solutions launch MIDAS

8th August 2002 - MDS have today launched their Motor Insurance Database Application System (MIDAS), a complete solution for Insurers, Brokers and Policyholders to allow the UK's estimated 350,000 Fleet and Motor Trade policyholders to easily and cheaply enter data in to the Motor Insurance Database (the MID) to fulfill their legal obligations, as set out in the EU 4th Motor Insurance Directive, which comes in to force on the 20th January 2003.

MDS are the sole independent provider of solutions and our products cater for small, medium and larger Insurers, for Brokers and for all types and sizes of Policyholders. Our slogan is "Your partner for MID compliance" and we are flexible and responsive to customers needs.

From concept to production in just 4 months, the web site offers a spectacular range of facilities to users, allowing them to use the full range of mandated methods for data supply (Manual data entry, Spreadsheets and File Transfer). Fully supporting all the FS1.7 requirements, our Compare and Amend features can be learnt in just a few minutes, allowing policyholders to quickly and simply access the system.

For our first few customers, learning times and helpdesk support have been lower than predicted. Our estimates were 15 minutes per customer per year - so far, we're averaging less than 10 minutes to get each customer fully up and running.

If you're struggling with the 4th Directive, contact us to discuss your requirements and our solutions.
